Inoteam chooses in-company training by Pontifexx Academy
Inoteam chooses Pontifexx Academy to strengthen their consultants
Inoteam, a French IT consulting company, wanted to give their consultants deeper knowledge and greater confidence to better support customers. The company was looking for pragmatic, hands-on training that went beyond IT expertise and truly addressed the challenges of maintenance and asset management. This search led them to Pontifexx Academy, which designed and delivered a tailored in-company program for the team in Montpellier.
For director and trainer Joas Huisman, who does not speak French, it was a unique challenge. Still, he decided to seize the opportunity and delivered the training in English.
The challenge
Compared to the large French service providers, Inoteam is a relatively small player, but it stands out through agility and smart solutions. According to founder and director Patrick Novarro, there was a clear need to equip consultants with:
- A broader understanding of maintenance and asset management, beyond just IT
- A pragmatic, hands-on approach, without lengthy theoretical sessions
- Stronger team development, so consultants feel more confident with clients
Previous attempts with other trainers failed to deliver the right balance between efficiency and usability. As Patrick explains: “It had to be useful, not too short, not too long, but directly applicable.”
‘It wasn't a traditional French training course where the teacher tells you he's smart and you're stupid. Joas felt more like a football coach standing next to the team. That's why the training was so successful.’

The Pontifexx Academy approach
The collaboration began at the Ultimo Nexus event, where Joas Huisman and Inoteam connected. Together, they designed a tailor-made program.
The result was an intensive seven-day training spread over two weeks, created for a small group of six consultants. The program covered three core components:
- Asset Management – vision and strategic foundations
- Maintenance Management – translating strategy into practice
- Project Management – structure and collaboration in implementation
The training was coaching-oriented and inspiring rather than academic. As Joas explains: “We treated the consultants more as colleagues than students. It wasn’t about testing them, but about discovering together how they could grow stronger.”
Patrick adds: “Some absorbed 110%, others maybe 90%. But because Joas was so clear and approachable, everyone understood the essentials. It worked surprisingly well.”
‘We saw the consultants more as colleagues than as trainees. It wasn't about assessing them, but about discovering together how they could become stronger.’

The Results
At first, the consultants were sceptical about the investment. But after the very first day, doubt gave way to enthusiasm. They felt seen, heard, and coached. Confidence grew, and they felt better prepared for customer interactions.
Patrick reflects: “It wasn’t a traditional French training where the teacher tells you he’s smart and you’re not. It felt more like a football coach standing alongside the team. That’s why it was so well received.”
Although the results cannot yet be expressed in hard numbers, Patrick already sees a difference: his consultants exude more confidence and handle customer conversations more strongly. The program is viewed as the first step in a longer development journey.
Beyond Training: A Growing Partnership
What began as a simple training request has grown into a warm and close collaboration. Both organisations see each other not just as trainer and client, but almost as colleagues. Joas describes the relationship as “sincere and lasting.”
After the training, contact remained strong, with discussions about follow-up programs, joint initiatives, and even ideas for international exchanges. The collaboration feels more like a partnership than a typical supplier-client relationship.
‘This is a process, not a one-off project. We want to make this a structural part of our team's development.’

Looking Ahead
Inoteam and Pontifexx Academy are already exploring new initiatives, from follow-up training to joint programs with clients. Patrick: “This is not a one-off project but an ongoing process. We want this to become a structural part of our team’s development.”
This collaboration shows how targeted, practical training can transform teams, and how a business relationship can evolve into a partnership based on trust and genuine connection.
